What free email services are compatible with Microsoft Outlook?

I would like to use Microsoft Outlook (I have 2007, if it matters), but I haven’t been able to find a free service that works with it.
Here’s what I’ve tried:
Yahoo! Mail doesn’t work, you need a premium package.
Microsoft Hotmail doesn’t work, it also needs a premium package.
Google Mail (am I allowed to say that on Yahoo?) I am not sure, but it didn’t work when I tried it.
Please help.

  1. I’ve been to most services and you have to pay most of the time unfortunately to gain this service. Usually you have to upgrade your hotmail email which costs but can open the opportunity to use outlook with that email.

  2. Gmail does, you just need to follow the POP3 instructions:
Any email service that says it supports SMTP/POP3 will work.

  3. Google Mail does work with POP3 clients like Outlook, you must’ve done something wrong. Select your version of Outlook from this page and it’ll take you through the setup instructions:

Also, why would you think it’s not okay to mention Gmail, but it’s okay to talk about Hotmail? You really didn’t think that through at all did you?

  4. Gmail is working all outlooks. If you wish to use yahoo on Outlook than make a account on austrial domain, simply sing up and choos, Austrirla
    OR
Use windows Desktop Mail 8.0, It is new software from microsoft they just replace it by outlook express. with this software you can also use hotmail, yahoo, gmail, AOL.
This is a free software availalbe from Microsoft site.
