My wife works for a cute little business that helps people if they become arrested called jailstop and she told me something interesting about her work which made no sense to me. I was hoping a mental expert with some marketing background could make this make sense for me. Her company passes out flyers door to door …nothing strange about that tons businesses do that…but here is where things get crazy .. the company has two different means to pass out flyers. The first way is a free lance way they email you a flyer you print it out, come up with your own route and deliver it in any area you want to..the catch is your on the phone with their GM the whole time they log every address you hit. The pay for this is like 10 to 15 cents per flyer and if someone signs up for the service due to the flyer the person gets 10 dollars on top of that. Now the other way is the pick up way. They pick you up and take you on a route and watch you place flyers but that only pays 4 cents with no commission per flyer. Yet she says the 4 cent way is the thing most people sign up for. Why is that?? Why would someone want chump change when they can make hundreds with more freedom?? Is it the need to feel a part of a live group? Fear for having to think on your own? I really dont get it at all!!
BTW there is no type of benefits like health insurance differences ect.. I already asked if that could be a factor.
How to search for a good marketing executive in city?
In my marketing class, we all have to pick a marketing problem and do research. We have to follow the format on how to conduct the research also. What would be a good topic for me to choose? My topics of interest is finances, future career(s), and sports.
I am marketing a condo-hotel located in Orlando,Fl. 90% of our buyers are foreign nationals. We are a luxury resort with fully furnished condos located by Disney. Phase 1 (432 units) opened almost 2 years ago and I am now on to marketing the 2nd Phase. The market has changed since then and I can no longer rely on realtors to bring buyers. I have several campaigns in progress but I am interested in your ideas. Thanks!
The Missouri No call registry recently “ran-out” after 5 years, according to recent, local media. The message was interrpreted that you have to reregister your phone number if you want to remain on the MO No Call List. I reregistered my phone number more than 3 weeks ago, and I swear, I am receiving MORE calls from non-profit organizations (i.e. fire fighters, police canine units, etc.) and from Marketing Research Companies (i.e.Knowledge Networks, Robin #435-893-0167). I have emailed complaints via the Jay Nixon Mo No Call List website and called the toll free number to get an answer with no success. These people that call me are VERY rude and hang up on me even after I ask them to remove my phone number from their list. Anyone got any ideas how to stop these people? Got any ideas how I can make these callers miserable too?
