   If they weren’t in your Mail Contacts list, they would not have appeared in your chat list. Remember, mail addresses from MSN, Hotmail, and Windows Live (‘@live.com’) are now all compatible with Yahoo IM, so they will be included as well.
   If you attempt to delete them from Contacts there (right-click), you’ll likely delete them from your mail list as well.

   I also have a couple of instant chat contacts on Yahoo with whom I don’t want to be in contact with anymore but they are not on my email contacts list.
   They often appear as ‘Available’ forcing me to render myself invisible, i.e I have tried searching for them in my contacts so I can delete them but they are nowhere to be found !

   It’s soooo frustrating
