The BE Scam as Posted on other boards?

Here ya all go BE Bare Minerals is stooping to the lowest of SPAM/SCAMS here is an entry from another board and a few responses:

Leslie finally revealed her true reason for “befriending” close to 2500 people on facebook. Seems she’s recruiting all her “friends” to distribute free samples of BE to all their friends. The sad thing is, people are lining up to market BE products for absolutely free!! Smart lady. Too bad so many of her newfound friends are so gullable. Below is Leslie’s post on facebook:

“OK, I’m ready to post. We have a program that we are officially calling “Leslie’s Angels”. this is the ambassador program that some of my friends inquired about. It is a pilot program which means we don’t really know exactly how it will work. But, what I would like to do is explain a little bit about it.

So many women I meet tell me that they have told many people about bareMinerals so I thought why don’t I create a little group of women that I would supply a few samples to to give out to people who have never tried it before. I have a few people at work that are going to help me with this so be patient because I already have requests.

So, if you are interested here are the instructions and we will contact you from my office if you are selected.

When I was on air I mentioned dental profession and teachers. I have heard about so many dental hygenists who use bareMinerals and I thought that was interesting. I would love to know what you guys do for a living, for instance, high school student, college, law enforcement, circus, lawyer, mom etc… (I work in the circus, just kidding).

Here is what info would be nice for me to receive.

City and State
profession
age (are you up for that?)
store nearest you. boutique, Sephora, Ulta etc? none

I think that is it. We are sending out our foundation samples in a few shades, it comes with a baby brush and is cute.

Let me know what you think after you get started so we can see if this is something we want to roll out. I figure if you are telling people anyway, why not try it. If you aren’t passionate about BE I doubt you would want to sign up anyway. Let’s see what happens. We have already sent some packages out, my assistant Leti is doing it right now but we are getting help from our customer service area.

Thanks for your interest. Long winded email. Gotta eat some lunch.
Bye,
LB ”

COMMENT
AH!!! The Pyriamid Scheme, but with her making ALL the money!!

All these gullible people get to feel “special” because they are getting “exclusive” rights to try samples, and now she can convince them to schlepp her products for her in exchange for being called a “Leslie Angel.”

Brilliant and Disgusting.

Another comment
you’re absolutely right. Seems by calling her unpaid workers “Leslie’s Angels”, she’s trying to conjure up images of Oprah’s Angel Network…. an organization that actually helps the less-fortunate. The only person Leslie’s Angels will be helping is Leslie and her bank account. Shameful.

  1. um right…… ok thanks ……

  2. OK. I am not a fan of Bare Minerals or BE. But this is interesting anyway. I don’t think this will matter much to the “die hard” users anyway.
